ROCKS' PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Retired Men of the Church aspire to grow in God’s word and use our life experiences to nurture the Evers Road Christian Church family’s spiritual and personal growth.

Our desire is to:

motivate younger men of the church.

be accountability partners for others of the church.

provide training for those desiring to be Sunday School teachers.

provide classes in discipleship training.

assist widows and widowers in home needs.

assist deacons, elders and ministers.

assist in other ways where our talents/skills can be of value.

Our Typical Meeting

The ROCKS meet at ERCC every other Tuesday morning at 10:30 A.M. for approximately one and a half hours. We discuss various issues and projects the group is working and develop plans for success. We have a short Bible lesson provided by one of the ROCKS members on a subject selected by him. On occasion we meet with the Church Elders to receive direction and consent for our work. Our activities include assisting church members, fix-up/repair around the church, improvements/changes/additions to church programs and special projects for the Elders and/or Ministers. Finally we get on to the really hard work...lunch together at one of our favorite eating places in the area.
